College Scholarship
Headed off to college or trade school in 2024? Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity for our student members! The Credit Union College Scholarship Program for 2024, offered through the Credit Union Foundation, is underway now!
Any credit union member entering their freshman through senior year of college or trade school may apply. Parental membership does not qualify an applicant; the student must be a member themselves (they are eligible to join as a family member if the parent is in our field of membership).
Our college-bound members are eligible to apply for one of ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships and one of two $1,000 video-based scholarship. And yes, you may apply in both categories!
Essay Topic: Explain the good habits you’ve developed for creating a sound financial future for you and your family. Additionally, explain how your relationship with your credit union enhances or helps you establish or maintain those habits.
Video Topic: Create a 60-second video depicting one or more good habits for making sound financial decisions and how your relationship with your credit union has helped to establish, enhance, or maintain those habits.
Deadline for applications is April 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Scholarship winners will be announced in June 2024.
