How to Make a Payment

Online

Online Transfer from JHFCU Account — Transfer funds from your JHFCU checking or savings account to your loan account. Want to make things even more streamlined? Schedule automatic, monthly payments so you can set it and forget it. 

Online Transfer from External Account — Link your account from another financial institution to make payments to your JHFCU loan through online banking or the mobile app. Make sure to set this up prior to your first payment as the linking process takes a day or two. Once linked, you can set up automated payments.

  • To link your external account just log into your JHFCU account in online banking, click on “Accounts,” select “External Accounts” from the dropdown. Complete the multifactor authentication, choose “Bank Account” as the account type and enter in the information for your other bank account. As a security measure, JHFCU will make a small deposit and a withdrawal from your external account, and you'll verify the amounts. Once it’s verified, you’ll be able to make transfers directly from your external account!

Online Bill Pay — Online Bill Pay is a free service for all JHFCU members, allowing you to conveniently pay bills from your mobile device or computer to any company, organization, or individual in the US! Simply log into online banking to get started. 

  • To add JHFCU as a payee for another institution’s Bill Pay service, use your 9-digit JHFCU account number with 2-digit suffix (EX: XXXXXXXXX-XX). 

Payroll Deduction — Conveniently and automatically pay on your loan each month using payroll deduction.

  • Your monthly payment is divided into the number of paychecks you receive each month, then the appropriate proportion is deducted from your paycheck and placed on hold in your Share Savings account. On your Loan Due Date (usually the last day of the month), the full monthly payment is transferred automatically to your loan.
 

At a Branch

Our tellers can process your payment, whether you bring in a check or cash, or want to transfer from another JHFCU account. Locate any of our branches here

By Mail

Mail your payment to our main office at 2027 E Monument Street, Baltimore, MD 21205. Payments are only processed on business days, so be sure to account for mail time.

 
It's important to review your options and/or set up payments to ensure your payment is received by the due date. Late payments are subject to extra interest, a possible late fee, and/or possible reporting to the credit bureau. We want our members to be able to make payments in a timely manner. If you ever have a situation where you will not be able to pay on time, please call us at 410-534-4500 so we can assist you.
 
You may want to consider protecting your loan with Payment Protection coverage, too. JHFCU offers a program that can help cover your loan payments if you become sick and/or pass away.
